Canada Beaches

Each of Canada's beaches provide a relaxing escape from reality.  Sunny beaches with white sands, waves crashing along the shoreline, wild and wooded coasts and as much or as little entertainment you want- Canada's beaches offer a little something for everyone.  You can visit the east, west or south for some fabulous beach activity!

East Coast

Along the eastern coast of Canada you can enjoy the provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Labrador and Nova Scotia. Each offers their own natural wonders and way of celebrating life and culture.  There are over 28,0000 kilometers of unspoiled, natural coastline to explore- meaning you can enjoy hiking or scenic walks in addition to your beach activities in any of the eastern provinces.

New Brunswick:  The highest tides in the world have created a sculpture out of the cliffs that can be seen during low tide.  When the tide comes in, they disappear under the ocean!

Newfoundland & Labrador:  Sit on the shoreline and watch as ten thousand year old ice bergs drift by, heading south, and humpback whales swim past, heading north.

Nova Scotia:  The city of Halifax offers great entertainment for all ages.  You can play in a waterfront casino, enjoy long days of shopping and evenings of live theatre or music.  Enjoy a romantic, moonlight harbour cruise with your special someone.

Prince Edward Island:  Enjoy an afternoon of gulf with the Atlantic Ocean as your water hazard!

West Coast

Along the western coast of Canada is the beautiful Pacific Rim- located on the wild southwest coast of Vancouver Island.  There is over 80 miles of coastline; with recreational areas in Barkley Sound, Quait Bay, Pacific Rim National Park, the Broken Group Islands and Clayoquot Sound.

Broken Group Islands:  Over 100 islands for great wilderness camping and kayaking.

West Coast Trail:  Following along the treacherous coast of Vancouver Island, where many boats have met their demise, the West Coast trail was originally constructed for rescuers to to help mariners that have shipwrecked.  Known internationally as an outstanding hiking trail, the West Coast Trail follows much of an old telegraph route.
