Canada has a Diverse Culture

The people in Canada come from a variety of religious and racial backgrounds, although the majority of Canadians are Catholic or Protestant.  Canadian society is open and does not operate based on class distinctions.  As is similar in America, Canadians take pride in their belief system that all people deserve to be treated equally, and that people deserve the same respect and rights, no matter what their gender, religion, cultural heritage or race.

Canadian Arts

The arts are very important to Canada's people, and is a demonstration of Canada's diversity.  The arts in Canada include music, movies, digital design, writers and more- with an increasing number of artistic people combining technology and traditional formats of arts to create music and literature among other artistic creations.  In fact, Canada is known for leading the world in the creation and production of new media in the digital culture movement.  Blogging, podcasts and mobile media are large aspects of the arts and technology community.

Canadian Heritage

While Canada may not have as long of a history as many other countries, the country's heritage is rich and marked by the union of Aboriginal peoples and immigrants from everywhere in the world.  The result of continuous struggles for control have lead to the development of the second largest country in the world- where lessons have been learned, and continue to be taught, from cultural diversity.

Nature

There is a fine line dividing Canada's nature and culture- so fine in fact, that many Canadians consider themselves to be a part of nature.  Environmental issues take top priority and the people of Canada are careful and mindful of their responsibilities of preserving their section of the earth for future generations.  National Parks are visited by more than 20 million visitors each year and ecotourism is a major source of income for all areas of Canada.

Recreation in Canada

What don't the Canadian's do?  From golfing to bird watching to fabulous cuisine and the famous sport of Hockey that is a large part of recreational activity in Canada- there is always something to do in this diverse country!  With the love of nature comes the love of outdoor activities, and there is no shortage of them throughout Canada.  Just about any activity you can imagine is available.

Society

The people of Canada enjoy an extremely high quality of life- and most of that can be attributed to the people who reside in Canada!  Very important to the culture of Canada are the principals and human values recognized by Canadians, including fairness, justice, opportunity for eveyrone, and compassion.  Not only do the people believe and promote these core human values, but these same principals are what govern the laws and businesses of the region.

Canadian Tourism

While Canada's natural wonders and outdoor life is a huge attraction for many visitors to the country, unique attractions including art galleries and museums, along with festivals and activities bring millions of tourists to the country year after year.  Ecotourism is flourishing and helps to encourage Canadian's love for nature and their willingness to protect the land.
